For the last year and a half I have been working on the theme of Brigit/St. Brigid. This goddess/Saint has always intrigued me and so I started reading stories about her and I tried to visualise these first by making drawings.
I worked these drawings up in egg tempera; an ancient, tight and tedious medium. The last few weeks I have been working in encaustic which helped to loosen up images and bring them to life.
